Country Remembers to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose; Pays Homage on His 118th Birth Anniversary

netajiNew Delhi, Friday, January 23 – The nation paid tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 118th birth anniversary on Friday, January 23. The forgotten hero of the India’s struggle for independence was remembered by the top leaders and the common man.

“Give me blood, and I shall give you freedom” – the popular quote by him is yet powerful to refill new energy and spur the patriotic feelings amongst the masses. Born in Cuttack, the respected leader strongly encouraged the countrymen to come forward and lend a hand to him to end the British Raj. He was the man with the ability to spellbind listeners through his motivational speeches. Bose guided the Azad Hind Fauj.

On more than a few occasions, death of Netaji was falsely reported but it is alleged that he left for the heavenly abode on 18 August 1945 in a plane crash. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to him, mentioning his leadership skills simply exceptional.
